Correct gravity readings by adjusting for your wort temperature
Correct hyrometer specific gravity readings by adjusting for wort temperature. Hyrometers are calibrated to read accurately at a specific temperature. If the wort you're measuring is hotter than the calibration temperature, your hydrometer reading will be artificially low and needs to be corrected.
The specific gravity of your wort, as measured by a hydrometer.
The temperature of your wort when you measured the specific gravity.
The temperature at which your hydrometer was calibrated. Usually 68F for newer hydrometers and 60F for older hydrometers.
